Animator & Storyboard Artist

About Me
A Love for Animation
As an artist, I focus on how animation, digital media, and evolving technologies can be used to communicate clear and engaging stories. My approach is guided by a mix of 2D, 3D, and experimental techniques which blend to form a strengthened final product.
My first fully animated 2D short film, Prima Mortis, made for my Departmental Honors thesis. I continued my work through graduate school with a second short film, Purrseverance, which has gone on to win several awards in the festival circuit. Both projects have shaped my thinking on narrative structure, character and world focused design, and the creative problem solving needed to complete the production pipeline as a solo animator.

I hold a BS in Simulation, Animation, and Gaming from Eastern Michigan University and an MFA in Digital Arts from Bowling Green State University. Alongside my creative work, I teach digital art and continue to experiment with digital tools and techniques to inform my teaching practices and philosophy.
